CHICAGO (WLS) -- Two people were killed and a third injured when a man opened fire at a party inside a garage in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood, officials said.

The victims were attending a party in the garage at about 11:20 p.m. Friday in the 7400-block of South Eggleston when a man, who had previously been turned away from the party, returned and began firing.

Andrew Haynes, 34, of Chicago, was identified as one of the men killed, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. He died of multiple gunshot wounds.

The identity of the second victim, a 32-year-old man who sustained gunshot wounds to the chest and died at the scene, has not been released.

"I had to hold him within his last few words, and that sucks," said friend Kevin Mclaurin, who witnessed the shooting. "Being a military veteran, that really sucks that I had to hold somebody else. We were just out here trying to have a good time."

Mclaurin said his friend's last words were "help."

Andrew Haynes, 34, of Chicago, was killed in shooting April 16, 2015 in the city's Englewood neighborhood.

Andrew Haynes is remembered as a father, son and beloved friend.

"I just wanted to find out why, what happened. My son is not in no gangs or nothing," said Sharon Edwards, Haynes' mother.

"It's ridiculous. Every time you turn on the news, it's always about somebody getting shot. If it's not a baby it's a mother, a young boy, a father, it's always something. When's it gonna end?" said Aretha Jenkins, Haynes' sister.

Family and friends said both of the victims had no ties to gangs, drugs, or illegal activity -- simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.

The third victim was in stable condition at Stroger Hospital. The 45-year-old man was shot in the left hip.

Chicago police are investigating.
