HARVEY, Ill. (WLS) -- Police in south suburban Harvey say four teenagers were speeding in a stolen car when they crashed early Sunday morning.
Two of the teens were killed when that vehicle slammed into a power pole.
Police say the impact of the crash caused the car to do a 360 flip in the air.
Two passengers in the back seat, a 16-year-old male and 18-year-old female, were killed.
Two juveniles in the front seat were taken to Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn in serious condition.
"According to the fire chief, this was a situation they found to be pretty remarkable that there were survivors," said Harvey spokesman Sean Howard. "If you looked at the car itself, it was in pretty bad shape."
Police say the owner of that 4-door Saturn reported his vehicle stolen on Friday from suburban Dolton.
