2 killed in overnight Chicago shootings

CHICAGO (WLS) -- At least two people are dead and several are injured after overnight shootings across the city.

Chicago police say just after midnight, a 21-year-old man was found shot to death in a vehicle in the 9300-block of South Wentworth in Princeton Park.

A 24-year-old man was shot and killed around 1 a.m. inside an apartment vestibule in the 6700-block of South Throop.

Three men were shot in the 5100-block of W. Madison around 2:20 a.m. while standing in the lot of a Marathon gas station, police said. The offender allegedly exited from a vehicle and fired shots.

All three men, ages 24, 21 and 19, were hospitalized and are in stable condition, officials said.

Three other men were shot around 11:15 p.m. while walking on the sidewalk in the 3900-block of North Francisco, police said. A vehicle allegedly pulled up beside them and a man began shooting, police said.

Two of the men, ages 18 and 19, were hospitalized and are in stable condition. The other 18-year-old victim sustained a gunshot wound to the head and is in serious condition, officials said.

No one is in custody in connection with either shooting, and police are continuing to investigate.
