3 injured in River North stabbing were fighting over woman, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three people were injured after a stabbing in the city's River North neighborhood, police said.



The incident, which police say was a fight over a woman, occurred in front of Ed Debevics on West Erie around 3 a.m. Saturday.



The first victim sustained stab wounds to the back and is in serious condition at Northwestern hospital, officials said. The second victim sustained stab wounds to the leg and was treated at the scene.



Police say the alleged offender is one of the three people injured and sustained superficial wounds to his fingers.



Charges are pending.
