3 shot, including 2 girls, on South Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Three people, including two girls, were shot near 50th Street and Michigan Avenue in the Grand Boulevard neighborhood overnight, police said.

An 11-year-old girl, a 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man were standing on a sidewalk when police said a person on a bike rode by and opened fire just before midnight.

They suffered gunshot wounds to their legs and were taken to area hospitals. Police said they are all expected to recover.

Detectives are investigating the shooting. No one is in custody.
