CHICAGO (WLS) -- Eight people were injured in a crash involving a Chicago police squad car, a CTA bus and another vehicle on Chicago's West Side Monday afternoon.

Chicago police said the squad car was heading southbound on Pulaski with lights and sirens activated when it was struck by another vehicle near 5th Avenue. The squad car then crashed into the CTA bus.

Officials said two officers were injured and taken to Rush University Medical Center in "stable" condition. The bus driver and five passengers were transported to local hospitals in conditions ranging from good to fair.

Eleven bus passengers refused treatment, officials said.

The driver of the vehicle that struck the squad car was issued citations, police said.
