Ald. Ed Burke calls on council to honor former Mayor Jane Byrne

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Ald. Ed Burke has called on the City Council to honor Chicago's first female Mayor Jane Byrne.

Burke did not summit a specific proposal during Wednesday's meeting, but gave several suggestions for possible discussion.

The suggestions included the International Terminal at O'Hare Airport, the Grand Ballroom at Navy Pier or the plaza surrounding Buckingham Fountain.
