CHICAGO (WLS) --Chicago fire officials said at least five people were shot, four wounded and one killed, in West Englewood Monday night.
Officials said the shooting happened near West 67th Street and South Damen Avenue around 9 p.m. One person was pronounced dead at the scene and four other people were taken to area hospitals in serious-to-critical condition.
A number of people were reportedly on a front porch when someone in a small compact car drove by and opened fire. One of the victims is reportedly 13 years old and in serious to critical condition at Comer Children's Hospital.
Police do not yet have a description of the car other than it was a small compact car.
Chicago police are investigating.
