CHICAGO (WLS) -- At least seven people were injured, including four Chicago police officers, after a shooting and crash on the West Side Saturday night.

Police said three men were driving in the 4200-block of West Roosevelt Road in the North Lawndale neighborhood when another car pulled up and someone inside started shooting at the men at about 9:30 p.m.

While trying to get away from the gun shots, they crashed into several cars at Roosevelt Road and Independence Boulevard, injuring people inside those cars, police said.

All three men, ages 18, 22 and 25, inside the car were hospitalized with gunshot wounds, police said. The 22-year-old man was shot in the side multiple times and is in critical condition.

Two police cars responding to the incident collided with each other, with four officers being hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries.

No one is in custody, police said.
