Attorneys ask for charges against Melodie Gliniewicz to be dismissed

FOX LAKE, Ill. (WLS) -- Lawyers for the widow of a Fox Lake police officer who killed himself and tried to make it look like a murder want the charges against her dismissed.

Attorneys for Melodie Gliniewicz will present a motion to dismiss those charges on Tuesday in Lake County Court.

Gliniewicz is accused of helping her husband Joe Gliniewicz embezzle money from a police youth program.
