Bernie Yvon, Chicago actor, dies in NW Indiana accident

MUNSTER, Ind. (WLS) -- A Chicago actor has died in an accident in northwest Indiana.

Bernie Yvon was on his way to rehearsal Saturday morning when his car was crushed in a collision with a semi at Calumet and Broadmoor in Munster.

Yvon was featured in Theater at the Centre's production of "Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown."

"Yvon was a triple threat - an immensely talented singer, dancer, and actor, who solidly delivered in any production that I ever cast him in through the years," said artistic director William Pullinsi.
