Brown Line service resumes after suspicious package cleared

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Service on the CTA Brown Line has resumed between the Loop and Fullerton after police cleared a suspicious package reported near the Sedgwick station.

CTA passengers were urged to use buses and the Red Line as police investigated in the 1500-block of Sedgwick Thursday afternoon.

Police said the package turned out to be a couple of suitcases and a backpack full of clothes.
