CHICAGO (WLS) -- Christians around the Chicago area celebrated Easter on Sunday.

REV. KYLES RETURNS TO PULPIT AFTER TRANSPLANT

"This is the best day forward. I couldn't have set this timing up any better than if I did it myself," he said.

A West Side pastor returned to the pulpit on Sunday morning just seven weeks after undergoing a double lung transplant.

Rev. Joseph Kyles was diagnosed with an irreversible lung disease back in 2002 and was only expected to live five years.

Kyles says his recovery is going great and hopes to be preaching at the Promise Church in Austin for many more years.
