Teen's body recovered from Lake Michigan near Waukegan

WAUKEGAN, Ill. (WLS) -- Search crews have recovered the body of a teenage boy who went missing in Lake Michigan near Waukegan Friday.

Officials say he was last seen swimming in the boat channel area of the Waukegan Harbor. The U.S. Coast Guard said the teen boy went into the water, then went under and did not resurface. The boy was at the beach with his family.

Police also say the boy was in a part of the lake meant for boats, not swimming.
