CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. (WLS) -- Crystal Lake South High School will have to tear down its bleachers, which stand at 51 feet tall, by Dec. 1.
District 155 lost another appeal in court. Officials tried to hold off taking the $1.8 million bleachers down until all legal challenges were exhausted.
A judge previously ruled that the school district violated local ordinances by not securing the proper zoning permits.
Neighbors said their privacy is violated by people in the stands, the sun is blocked by the structure and the noise level is too high.
