CTA Red Line resumes normal service after earlier reroute

CHICAGO (WLS) -- CTA Red Line trains are returning to normal service and station stops after an earlier rerouting due to a person struck at Clark/Division, CTA officials say.

The person was struck by a southbound train at the Clark/Division station at 11:34 a.m., according to the CTA.

Details about the person's condition weren't immediately available. Power was shut off in the State Street subway, necessitating the reroute.

Trains were diverted between Cermak-Chinatown and Fullerton stopping at elevated stations in and around the Loop. Riders should expect some delays as service returns to normal.
