Archbishop Blase Cupich leads prayer service for Black History Month

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Archbishop Blase Cupich celebrated Black History Month with hundreds of students from Catholic schools.

Friday morning's prayer service marked the 37th anniversary of honoring black Catholics in the Archdiocese of Chicago.

The celebration also included the first black heritage award, given to Laurence Holmes, a sports talk show host on WSCR radio and a graduate of the Catholic school system.
