2 dead in Barrington
Barrington police say the public is not in danger in connection with a death investigation in the northwest suburb.

BARRINGTON, Ill. (WLS) -- Two people were found dead inside a Barrington home in what police are calling a death investigation. Officials said there is no threat to the public, but released no other details.

The Cook County Major Case Assistance Team was also called to the home in the 500-block of North Avenue in the northwest suburb. The bodies were found just after 4:10 p.m. Tuesday.

The coroner has only said that the two victims are related. Neighbors said a couple and their adult daughter, who is thought to have special needs, have lived there for several years.

"I've seen a lady coming out of her house, looking real sad, hugging a cop. They put her in a car," said Melissa Blach, who lives nearby.

Autopsies will be conducted early Wednesday morning. Identifications are pending family notification.
