CHICAGO (WLS) -- Mayor Rahm Emanuel's task force is recommending that Chicago's minimum wage be ramped up to $13 per hour by the year 2018.
But the task force is also suggesting that the Chicago City Council put off a vote on the issue until after the November 4 election, after state lawmakers have tackled the matter.
The task force members don't want a Chicago wage hike to deter the General Assembly from approving a statewide wage hike later.
