Fire rips through Whiting apartment building

WHITING, Ind. (WLS) -- Fire tore through a building in downtown Whiting, Indiana.

Firefighters worked to extinguish the flames in the 1400-block of 121st Street Tuesday night. The building houses a business on the ground floor and at least three apartments above it.

No one was seriously hurt. Investigators said the building is most likely destroyed.
