CHICAGO (WLS) -- A fast-moving fire forced a family out of their home on Chicago's West Side early Tuesday morning.
When firefighters arrived around 4:25 a.m. at a vacant home in the 4700-block of West Van Buren Street in the city's West Garfield Park neighborhood, the two-story building was fully engulfed by flames.
Crews moved into defensive mode after a partial roof collapsed and porches collapsed, fire officials said.
The blaze jumped to an occupied home next door before firefighters extinguished the flames around 5:45 a.m.
No one was hurt, but several people were displaced.
Investigators are looking into what caused the fire.
