OAK BROOK, Ill. (WLS) -- A man was killed in a shooting on I-88 Friday evening, which blocked traffic for some time during the investigation. All lanes were open as of 9:30 p.m.

Police said Eduardo Munoz, 43, of Sunrise, Fla., was shot near York Road while driving eastbound on I-88 in his red Volvo truck.

Police said while Munoz was driving, a second, unknown vehicle shot at his truck tractor, striking him. He was able to pull over after being shot, they said.

Munoz was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where he died of his injuries. Illinois State Police are investigating the shooting. He was driving for DML Logistics at the time of the shooting.

Inbound lanes were completely shut down during the evening rush due to the shooting, and caused a major traffic backup.

Police have not said if this was a road rage incident. No one is in custody.
