CRYSTAL LAKE, Ill. (WLS) -- The Illinois Supreme Court will take up the battle over bleachers in north suburban Crystal Lake.
There has been a long, legal fight involving the 51-foot-tall bleachers at Crystal Lake South High School. Homeowners whose property borders the bleachers claim that they are too large and that they were built without a permit.
A judge ruled last year that the bleachers violate zoning laws. They were scheduled to be torn down Dec. 1, but that was put on hold to see if the state's highest court would take the case.
The justices agreed to take the case Wednesday.
