ITASCA, Ill. (WLS) -- Scheduled overnight full closures of Illinois Route 390 at I-290 for this weekend have been cancelled, Illinois Tollway officials said.
Installation of six steel beams over Illinois Route 390 was scheduled begin at 11 p.m. Saturday, reducing traffic in both directions to one lane, officials said. Overnight full closures Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were also scheduled, but have been cancelled.
Officials said the construction will be rescheduled, but have not announced a date.
The project will install a flyover ramp bridge connecting westbound I-290 with westbound Illinois Route 390 as part of the $3.4 billion Elgin O'Hare Western Access Project.
