Jesse Jackson Jr. gets earlier prison release date

MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Jesse Jackson Jr. now has an earlier release date from federal prison.

He will now be released on September 20, 2015, more than three months early.

Jackson is at a federal prison camp in Montgomery, Ala.

An official with the Federal Bureau of Prisons tells Eyewitness News that Jackson was sentenced under guidelines that allow for reducing time served if the person successfully goes through a drug and alcohol treatment program.
