CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Cook County judge says he is inclined to allow former Mayor Richard Daley to testify at a trial involving the Park Grill restaurant but he needs more information about Daley's medical condition before making a final ruling.
Daley's lawyers claim the former mayor has a medical hardship that should keep him from testifying.
They must now give the judge an affidavit outlining the mayor's condition. The court case involves a city lawsuit trying to break the long-term contract the city has with the restaurant in Millennium Park.
