CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 55-year-old Chicago man was charged with an attack on State Street in the Loop, police said.
Stanley Riley is accused of beating a man on Monday in the 200-block of South State Street. At about 9 p.m., during a verbal altercation, Riley allegedly struck a 50-year-old man several times, serverly injuring his head and face, police said.
Riley is charged with one count of felony aggravated battery with the intent to do bodily harm, as well as one count of felony aggravated battery in a public place.
He is expected to appear in bond court on Thursday.
