Plainfield man allegedly driving mock squad car charged with impersonating police

PLAINFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- A southwest suburban man is charged with impersonating a police officer.

State troopers say they saw Ross Ferraro Jr. driving a vehicle made to look like a police squad car. The 45-year-old man from Plainfield was arrested Thursday.

Investigators say when they searched his home they found four firearms, ballistic vests, badges, uniforms and two more vehicles with emergency lighting.
