Man killed in Berwyn house fire

BERWYN, Ill. (WLS) -- A 27-year-old man was killed in house fire in west suburban Berwyn.

Fire crews responded to a home near 18th Street and Scoville Avenue around 1:40 a.m. Friday.

Firefighters found the victim in the attic after putting out heavy flames. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The victim's identity has not been released.

Two people were rescued from the first floor.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
