Man stabbed at CTA Red Line Belmont station

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 26-year-old man was stabbed at the Belmont stop on the CTA Red Line early Sunday morning.



Police said a man stabbed the victim in the abdomen as he exited a train just after 3:30 a.m. He told police he was stabbed for "no apparent reason."



The victim was transported to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in stable condition.



Investigators did not release a description of the suspect. No one is in custody.
