CHICAGO (WLS) -- For the first time, Chicago Police are talking about recent robbery and assault on Mayor Rahm Emanuel's teenage son.

Zach Emanuel, 17, was jumped from behind by two men who stole his cell phone on December 19.

McCarthy says his office will review security at the mayor's house, but he points out the crime didn't happen on the property.

"He went for a walk to make a phone call. So, the officers are sitting on the mayor's house. They're not sitting on the mayor's neighborhood," McCarthy said.
