Michigan City, Ind., officer arrested on drug charges found dead

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (WLS) -- A police officer in Michigan City, Ind., arrested on drug charges, was found dead Saturday, police said.

Robert Grant, 37, was also charged with official misconduct.

On Saturday, family members were unable to reach Grant by phone. His car was later found along a county road.

The Northwest Indiana Times reports he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
