The reward went up today for information about missing college student Shane Montgomery.

PHILADELPHIA -- The reward went up Monday for information about missing college student Shane Montgomery, and we're learning more about the circumstances of his departure from a popular Manayunk bar.

Jim Townsend, the Director of Operations of Kildare's Restaurants, explained that there was no altercation or friction surrounding Shane's departure from the bar and emphasized that he was not acting drunk.

He says Shane did accidentally bump into the DJ's equipment, but was polite and respectful and moved on.

According to Townsend, Shane then met up with a relative, who is a Kildare's employee, who informed him it was closing time. He says it was 1:50 a.m. when the relative walked Shane to the front door where they were met with security who saw Shane out.

Townsend says, "Other than the front door staff, Shane did not have any interaction with any other management or security staff or cause a disruption as he left the restaurant. He was respectful and left the [premises] on his own."

Staff reportedly saw Shane turn left out of the door and head south on Main Street.

Lastly, Townsend says after searching computer records they found a tab for Shane totaling $17. He says this would be the equivalent to three craft beers, and again emphasized that Shane did not appear to be intoxicated when he left the bar.

On Sunday the FBI announced it had joined the search, and they've plunged full tilt into the investigation.

The FBI has posted Shane's picture and word of the now $25,000 reward on more than 30 digitized billboards across the Philadelphia region.

They say they are now gathering surveillance video along Main Street in Manayunk, re-interviewing family members, friends, and barroom personnel - in some cases lie detector tests have been administered.

The 21-year-old college student has been missing since Thanksgiving - last seen leaving Kildare's Irish Pub around 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning.

J.J. Klaver from the FBI explains, "What makes this rise to the level of suspicious circumstances is the fact that there is no reason to believe that Shane would have just disappeared like this. There is no reason to believe he would just leave and break contact with family and friends."

A ping from Montgomery's cellphone was picked up near the CVS Pharmacy on Main Street, located about an hour after he vanished. But the radius is 4,500 feet.

Shane's family was busy again on Monday distributing new leaflet in the Roxborough-Manyunk area with the new reward total listed. It now stands at $25,000 after Kildare's Restaurant put up $10,000 on top of the $15,000 already there from the family and the Fraternal Order of Police.

A statement from Kildare's reads in part: "At Kildare's Restaurants we take every aspect of customer service and safety very seriously. The disappearance of Shane Montgomery is extremely upsetting to our staff and management, this hits home for us because one of Shane's family members is an employee at Kildare's Manayunk."

Karen Montgomery, Shane's mother, tells us, "He is not that inconsiderate and he would be in touch with me by now if he could."

Kildare's says it is cooperating fully with police and the FBI.
