CHICAGO (WLS) -- A mother of three whose body was found July 18 decomposing in her home on the city's South Side died of strangulation, the medical examiner's office said Tuesday.

The body of Latoya Jackson, 27, was found in a home in the 8300-block of South Drexel along with the decomposing dead bodies of her three boys, 11-year-old Andrew, 9-year-old Cameron and 5-year-old Kentrall. Autopsies for the boys were ruled inconclusive.

Jackson's death has been ruled a homicide, officials said.

Family said Jackson was raising her three boys on her own and recently moved into the home after losing her grandmother.
