CHICAGO (WLS) -- Mayor Rahm Emanuel is working to make Chicago more bike-friendly, adding bike lanes and bringing the Divvy bike sharing program to the city. But drivers and cyclists often complain about the reality on the road. On average, there are 1,500 bike-related crashes each year.
With Chicago Bike Week underway, AAA and the Active Transportation Alliance are launching a new campaign to remind drivers and cyclists of what they can do to share the road safely.
Joining us this week are Ron Burke, executive director of the Active Transportation Alliance, and Beth Mosher, director of public affairs for AAA Chicago.
