O'Hare received 28,000 noise complaints in July

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The number of noise complaints to O'Hare Airport have soared more than 1,200 percent since new flights paths went into effect last fall.

Officials with the O'Hare Noise Hotline say they've received nearly 28,000 complaints about the noise in the month of July alone.

They point out that 41 percent of those complaints came from just nine homes.
