Pedestrian struck in Des Plaines

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police shut down a section of Central Road in northwest suburban Des Plaines after a car hit a pedestrian Wednesday morning.

Central Road was closed in both directions between River Road and East River Road for several hours as police conduct their investigation.

There is no word on that person's condition.

Investigators have not released any further details.
