Time magazine published its list of most dangerous counties, and a New Jersey county came in at #1.
How did Time Magazine come up with the list?
According to the explanation posted on Time.com, they tallied up events that caused "death, property damage, injuries or crop damage" in each county.
They used that information to create a "disaster index," based on the average of each counties events plus the events of its neighboring counties.
Hurricane Sandy was one of the reasons some New Jersey counties made the list.
