Marijuana growing operation uncovered in Harvey home, police say

HARVEY, Ill. (WLS) -- Police said they uncovered a sophisticated marijuana growing operation in south suburban Harvey.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 15200-block of Honore Avenue.

Police said they found 6-ft marijuana plants growing amid various pieces of ventilation and lighting equipment set up in a bedroom.

Authorities estimate the plants add up to more than 100 lbs. of marijuana.
