Power restored in Aurora after ComEd vault fire

AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- Power was restored to the downtown Aurora area overnight after an electrical fire in an underground ComEd vault left 150 units in the dark, including the Paramount Theater.

The vault is located near East Downer Place and South Stolp Avenue. Downer was closed between South River Street and North Broadway and Stolp was closed between Galena Boulevard and Benton Street overnight.

Those closures were lifter by Tuesday morning, after crews finished restoring power.

There are no reported injuries.
