Protesters march in support of homeless population

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Protesters marched through Chicago's Uptown neighborhood in support of the homeless Thursday afternoon.

The demonstrators were with the Uptown Homeless Tent City want to call attention to a lack of affordable housing in Chicago.

Many homeless people have been living in tents under a Lake Shore Drive viaduct at Wilson.

They said the city is harassing them in an effort to drive them out.
