Ride to Remember honors fallen CPD officers

CHICAGO (WLS) -- More than a thousand people took part in a motorcycle ride to honor Chicago Police officers.

The Ride to Remember started at the 11th District Police Station on West Harrison and ended at Gold Star Park along the lakefront.

The money raised will benefit the families of officers killed in the line of duty, as well as those officers who have suffered catastrophic injuries.

The ride comes a week after Chicago Police Officer Tito Rodriguez was killed in a traffic accident.
