SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- Sen. Dick Durbin is asking for more oversight on Corinthian colleges amid claims that they submitted false data.

There are five campuses in the Chicagoland area, which operate under the name Everest College.

Durbin said they've failed to submit required data to the Department of Education and provided false job placement data, which is used in marketing prospective students.

About 85 percent of revenue for Corinthian Colleges comes from the federal government.

The college is also being investigated by the Department of Justice. Corinthian hasn't commented yet about these latest allegations, but has said in the past it devotes far more resources to finding jobs for graduates than most community colleges.
