CHICAGO (WLS) -- A small fire forced the evacuation and closure of the John G. Shedd Aquarium on Saturday.
Fire officials said the fire in a ground level washroom was quickly put out with hand pumps. There were no injuries reported and nobody was transported out of the area.
Aquarium officials are allowing guests to re-enter the building to retrieve their personal items.
The aquarium will re-open with normal business on Sunday.
Wristbands and tickets purchased on Saturday can be used on any other day. Refunds can be requested via email at contactus@sheddaquarium.org.
