CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 6-year-old girl wounded in a drive-by shooting last week returned home Monday.

Tacarra Morgan was shot in the stomach Tuesday afternoon when someone inside a white SUV fired 43 bullets into a crowd near West 60th and South Paulina streets in Chicago's West Englewood neighborhood, police said. She was treated at Comer Children's Hospital, where she underwent surgery.

While hospitalized, she received many visitors, including Mayor Rahm Emanuel.

Tacarra is one of at least 19 children under the age of 10 to be shot in Chicago in 2016.
