Tanning salon in northern suburbs robbed twice in 2 weeks

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. -- A north suburban tanning salon has been robbed for the second time in as many weeks.

A suspect armed with a knife robbed Palm Beach Tan Saturday night getting away with about $100 in cash. Two weeks ago a man armed with a handgun made off with just $27 in cash.

No one was hurt in either robbery.

Police say they are stepping up patrols in the area.
