Teacher wanted in Lake Forest after alleged sex assaults of child

LAKE FOREST, Ill. (WLS) -- Lake Forest police have issued an arrest warrant for a teacher they say sexually assaulted a girl under the age of 13 in 2012.

Michael R. Vucic, 41, of the 100 Block of East Laurel Ave in Lake Forest, is wanted on five counts of predatory criminal sexual assault and five counts of criminal sexual assault, police said.

Police say on Monday the victim, who is under the age of 13, reported to a family member that Vucic had inappropriate sexual contact with her multiple times in 2012.

Police said Vucic is a teacher at Gavin School District and is believed to have fled to Germany. Bond was set at $1 million for the arrest warrant.
