CHICAGO (WLS) -- The man charged with trying to set off a bomb outside a South Loop bar, took the stand during his competency hearing.
Investigators said Adel Daoud pushed a button on what he thought was a bomb detonator, but it was actually part of a federal sting operation.
Daoud testified for about forty minutes Friday, saying he's being held hostage for his beliefs.
Defense attorney Thomas Durkin said Daoud's mental health is deteriorating.
