CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police at the University of Illinois at Chicago sent out a crime alert overnight after a 28-year-old man was beaten and robbed near campus.
UIC police said four men dressed in black attacked the victim near South Morgan Street and West Roosevelt Road around 10:10 p.m. Monday. Officers said they stole his cash and his pants before running away.
The Chicago Fire Department transported the man to the hospital. His injuries were not life-threatening.
Campus police said the victim was not a UIC student. Chicago police are investigating. Anyone with information regarding the attack should call 311.
