Woman, 54, stabbed to death in Ashburn

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 54-year-old woman was fatally stabbed on Chicago's Southwest Side.

Police said the victim was stabbed in the 7700-block of South St. Louis Avenue in the city's Ashburn neighborhood around 9:45 p.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 26-year-old man is in custody. Authorities have not disclosed the nature of the relationship between the victim and suspect.

Investigators said the stabbing was domestic-related.
